Bacon & Buttermilk Gravy

You’ll Need:

2 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. real bacon bits or pieces
1/4 c. flour
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. milk
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. pepper

How To:

In a sauce pot, melt butter. Brown bacon bits or pieces until they are crisp. Once crisp, stir in the flour with a fork or whisk.

Mix buttermilk and regular milk. Add 1 cup liquid mixture and bring to boil. Combine additional liquid and stir. Once this mixture has boiled, it has reached its full thickening capacity.

Reduce heat and simmer until needed. Season with salt and pepper.
