Chicken Alfredo Pizza

You’ll Need:

1 lb. pizza dough
1 1/2 c. cooked shredded chicken
2 tbsp. butter
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/8 tsp. onion powder
1 tbsp flour
1/2 c. + 2 tbsp. heavy cream
1/2 c. + 2 tbsp. milk
2 oz. shredded Parmesan cheese
4 oz. shredded Mozzarella cheese
1/4 c. Real Bacon Bits
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 1/2 tbsp. green onions, chopped

How To:

Preheat oven to 425F.

Melt butter with garlic powder and onion powder in a saucepan over medium heat.  Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.  While whisking vigorously, slowly pour in cream and milk.  Bring mixture just to a gentle bubble stirring constantly.  Allow mixture to gently boil for 20 seconds, stirring constantly.  Remove from heat, add Parmesan, season with salt and pepper, then return to warm heat and stirring occasionally until Parmesan is melted.  Leave on heat until ready for use.

Flatten, stretch, and shape the pizza dough into a 13″ round, while creating a thicker outer crust.  Transfer dough to pizza pan, reshaping as needed.

Pour half the alfredo sauce over the dough, using the back of a spoon to spread it evenly.  Leave about one inch of untouched dough around the edges for the crust.  Sprinkle chicken evenly over pizza, then top with the rest of the sauce.  Cover with mozzarella cheese and sprinkle with bacon bits.  Brush outer crust with olive oil and season crust lightly with a pinch of garlic powder and salt.

Bake for 15-20 minutes or as needed so that the crust is cooked through, but toppings are not burnt.  Remove from oven and garnish with green onions.
