Roasted Strawberries with Ice Cream

You’ll Need:

4 c. strawberries, stemmed and halved
1/4 c. brown sugar
4 tbsp. butter, melted
1 pint vanilla ice cream

How To:

Preheat oven to 400F.

Toss the strawberries, brown sugar, and melted butter together until berries are coated. Spread evenly in a dish.

Roast until berries are soft and juices are bubbling, about 15 minutes. Let cool to room temperature.

Spoon ice cream into 4 dessert bowls and top with fruit. Pour any juices from baking dish over fruit. Serve immediately.

* Although the recipe calls for vanilla ice cream, you can use any kind you want. I used chocolate, and it was delicious; personally I would keep it within the Neapolitan options – vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry.
