Pan Fried Pork Chops

You’ll Need:

1 tsp. seasoned salt
1 tsp. pepper
8 pork chops
1 c. flour
cayenne pepper
1/2 c. canola oil
1 tbsp. butter

How To:

Salt and pepper both sides of the pork chops.

Combine the flour and some cayenne, salt, and black pepper.  Dredge each side of the pork chops in the flour mixture, and then set aside on a plate.

Heat the canola oil over medium-high heat.  Add the butter.  When the butter is melted and the butter/oil mixture is hot, cook each pork chops 2-3 minutes on the first side.  Flip and cook until golden brown on the other side, usually 1-2 minutes.  Make sure no pink juices remain.  Remove to a plate.

Although there are a lot of different ways to make pork chops, we always come back to the fried ones, it seems.  This is pretty standard fare as far as pork chops go. – originally tested 12/20/13
