Ham Steak with Maple Glaze

You’ll Need:

1 ham steak
1/4 c. maple syrup
1 tsp. apple cider vinegar
1 tsp. Dijon mustard

How To:

Mix maple syrup, apple cider vinegar, and Dijon mustard in a bowl until well-combined.  Taste and add more maple syrup as desired.

Heat up a skillet and brown ham steak until warmed through, brushing with the maple-syrup mixture all the while.  Drain ham juices occasionally, as needed.  Once ham has reached desired temperature, remove from heat and cover with any remaining maple syrup mixture.

Serve hot.

I’m learning pretty quickly that there are only so many ways to cook a ham steak.  This one isn’t bad.  I like mine with a little more maple syrup than this calls for, so I added a little.  It’s a pretty basic, run-of-the-mill ham steak! – originally tested 12/23/13
