Seared Steak Filets

You’ll Need:

2 4 oz. steaks or filets
2 tbsp. olive oil


How To:

Preheat oven to 425F.

Season steak with salt and pepper.

Heat an ovenproof saute pan over medium high for 5 minutes.  Sear filets in oil on one side for 4-5 minutes.  Turn over and place the pan in the oven for as long as you need to reach desired doneness (at least 5 minutes for rare).

Remove the pan from the oven, transfer filets to a plate and tent with foil for 5 minutes.
