Saucy Pork Chops

You’ll Need:

4 pork chops
1 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
2 c. ketchup
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. liquid smoke

How To:

Sprinkle pork chops with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.  In a large skillet, brown chops in oil on both sides; drain.

In a bowl, combine the ketchup, brown sugar, and liquid smoke.

Stove-Top: Pour half of sauce in skillet.  Layer chops on top of sauce, and pour the rest of the sauce on top.  Cover and cook on medium heat, turning chops and pouring excess sauce over the top, every five minutes, for twenty minutes or until pork is cooked.

Slow Cooker:  Pour half the sauce into a 3 qt. slow cooker.  Top with pork chops and remaining sauce.  Cover and cook on LOW for 4 1/4 to 5 1/4 hours or until the meat is tender.
