Chili

You’ll Need:

1 can black beans
1 can kidney beans
1 can refried beans
1 24 oz. can crushed tomatoes
1 package ground beef
1 onion
2 garlic cloves
chili powder
cumin
1 c. beef broth
1 tbsp. olive oil
crushed red pepper flakes
Frank’s Red Hot
cayenne pepper
grated cheese
tortilla chips

How To:

Cut up the onion, throw it in a pot. Mince two garlic cloves, add to pot. Pour oil and meat into pot and cook until meat is no longer pink.

Sprinkle with chili powder, cumin, and crushed red pepper for taste. Add the broth.  Once broth is reduced by half, add the crushed tomatoes.

As the tomatoes simmer, rinse the black beans and kidney beans and add to the mixture. Add two tablespoons of chili powder, two tablespoons cumin. Add about 6 drops of Frank’s Red Hot, or to taste, and a sprinkle of cayenne.

Add refried beans and stir well until chili is thick. Adjust spices to taste.

Serve with grated cheese and tortilla chips.
