Barbecue Teriyaki Sirloin Kabobs
1 large sirloin steak
1-2 cups teriyaki sauce
1/2 cup crushed red pepper flakes
1/2 cup crushed garlic
1/2 cup dry minced onion
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons pepper
1 teaspoon liquid smoke
Preheat oven to 400. For grill to 350F. If grilling, add hickory chips to the fire and oil the grill.
Cut steak into 1/4” thick strips, cutting across the grain. Mix all ingredients in a ziplock bag and add steak strips. Refrigerate 2-3 hours or overnight.
Drain marinade and place meat on skewers. If using wooden skewers, remember to soak!
Grill: Place on grill and cook to desired temperature, turning every 2-3 minutes.
Oven: Place on tinfoil-covered baking sheet and cook for 10-12 minutes. Turn over and cook an additional 5-7 minutes.
